Meet our Designers!

  In 2004, when Michelle Blunk opened Conceptual Designs, Inc., a commercial interior design service firm, her passion was there, but the journey required a tremendous amount of work and planning to get to where the companies are today.

After 9 years of creating functional and beautiful commercial spaces, 2013 brought with it an opportunity. Conceptual Designs entered the residential design market with the purchase of Interiors by The Sewing Room, a 35 year old custom drapery workroom in downtown East Moline, Illinois.  This addition brought diversity to the commercial design firm and opened up opportunities for the company to grow, both in commercial window coverings and residential drapery and upholstering.

In 2017, a 40+ year old residential furniture store, State Street Interiors, Bettendorf, Iowa, became the next addition to the service offerings of Conceptual Designs.  This company came with a team focused on designing for homes, a great reputation and a residential furniture storefront. This acquisition provided the opportunity to transition their commercial design relationships to their clients homes and to continue to service the long list of past Quad Cities clients.

In 2019, clarity was needed to harness the uniqueness of the companies offerings.  The team got together to brainstorm and the name WITHIN was born.....we provide anything within your four walls!

The WITHIN story is one of professional service, of a caring and supportive team which puts you first and follows through on every detail from start to finish. We believe you are a product of your environment and our passion is curating the best spaces to live in.
